Our San Piero cuttings are from our 24+ yr. old tree, which was a cutting from a 70yr. tree, whose seeds were “smuggled” in between bedsheets during immigration. An original, purple, violet and mahogany with a dark strawberry center.

The mother tree (were we get our cuttings from) was given to us as a gift. It was from a nursery in Boston, Joe’’s Italian figs. A great producer, figs grow in clusters. Mild taste, light green when ripe. Center is a light amber to melon color.

Portuguese fig, sweet, greenish/yellow/brown exterior with a light red interior. Tres num Prato means”three on a plate” in Portuguese. It’s flavor and quality is considered above average.

Very dark purple to violet black skin with a bright red center. Very hardy and super sweet dark berry taste. Unknown possibly a Greek fig. Was named after a tree in Bethlehem, Pa.

Another original, a cutting from a tree in Italy. Firm figs when ripe, dark eggplant color. Not too sweet, great table fig. Thick skin with a dark purple to eggplant color in side.

A great tasting fig. Light green with a red center. Large figs. The only history I found was that a tree growing attheir mother in laws house, from under a porch. They tried to kill it with no avail, so they crawled under the porch, dug it up and planted. Resembles an Adriatic green fig.

An original from France, this fig ripens around late September early October. Beautiful violet skin with a pattern of white dots. Large eye, very dark violet center. King Louie the 14ths favorite fig. The name “Dauphine“ denotes royalty. Heir to the throne.

A Greek fig, Vasilika sika, “King of Figs”. Another original (from Greece) we obtained from bartering some fig trees. Not sure if the fig is dark or green or white, still waiting on a fig. The squirrels hit it last year.
